Nothing left of the old base but the living quarters. New base to be started as soon as Team Leaders leave. 

====PBTD 05/5====
Plans as-is. There is one large building in the center that has an above ground floor and an underground location pretty deep below. There is a ventilation system that pumps in good air, and it runs through the entire bottom level. Along the right side of the main ICBM building are barracks, mostly low-grade rooms for the plebes who worked the base. To the left is a larger barracks; maybe ten or twelve rooms, all upstairs. They look like they were officers’ quarters. All currently habitable. The barracks also has a basement with a compression chamber that leads to the next main ventilated areas, so if there was an emergency they could go to the underground chambers. Across the back here is a long rectangular building that seems to have been the hospital, with radiation rooms (demon holding pens?) Has been stripped. Everything above ground just needs to be cleaned. Maybe some light bulbs replaced, bedroom stuff, moving racks out,There is also an underground bunker back here that is camouflaged to avoid detection from the sky and at ground-level. It might be a good place for the business. Stephanie will get the girls to do the cleaning, construction crews to do the ventilation shaft work, if needed for the air conditioning.
Korbin wants the new place to be treated like a top-secret military installation. Wants better camouflage from the sky . If we all work together, we can get what we need out of the base and start building what we want.

====PBTD 05/19====
What Korbin sees:
There was a two-story building that was probably the barracks Stephanie had described, and a small building next to a blackened launchpad. In the distance he could see some large concrete pads. There are two main underground buildings, and they are connected by a hundred or so foot long tunnel. 
The underground areas are reinforced concrete with eighteen-inch-thick ceilings and walls, and a three-foot layer of earth above them. There’s about fifteen thousand square feet of floor space. The control room is underground, and is about fifty by ninety feet with about forty-five hundred feet of floor space.There are wells around the property, and the part you’re interested in is a good thirty acre. The land in front of him  was sand for the most part, but farther out there were both grassy and dirt-covered areas, with a ridge of short cliffs running along the edge. It was quiet—very quiet—and they could see for miles in all directions. There used to be a dirt airstrip. It was somewhere between twelve and fifteen hundred feet long. He wanted an airstrip. It was a priority, but he knew that living quarters were first and foremost. The concrete slabs had Joshua’s machines on pallets stacked on them. They could probably use those slabs to put up some new buildings on, or even possibly a kitchen where everyone could take turns preparing dinners and such.
I (Stephanie) want to create the foundation for the business, for Joshua’s things, right beyond this slab we’re standing on. It will connect to the network down below, though I don’t think we will be able to put the machines below because of ventilation issues for now. Maybe in the future we can move everything down there and have him completely hidden away from the world. I think he’d much rather have it that way than have to run screaming every time someone came to the base. The more I’m here, the more I appreciate the usefulness of underground compounds.” I doubt that we will be ableto put that part underground without risking our safety, due to the high gas content of the metals he works with. That being said, we can put the raw materials down below in a vault, along with the finished product. That will leave very little aboveground—maybe nothing more than the equipment and the work in progress.” .
The finished weapons could be stored in the weapons bunker with the rest of them,” Stephanie suggested. “Whatever is available for team use can be left out, and the rest can be locked up for clients and orders. If there gets to be too much stock to keep in there, we can always create a bunker just for those.

There is a MH-6 Little Bird for sale that I am considering purchasing.I am still looking for a chopper that’s big enough for the whole team, but I figured it would be a start. We can use it locally for reconnaissance. They are relatively straightforward to fly, too.”

====PBTD 06/1====
The team had made the base secure, erecting a twelve-foot-high chain-link fence with concertina wire billowing across the top of it that ran past the new buildings they were working on and was about three hundred yards out from the edge of the original compound. The rest of the area had been cleaned up and painted, and the new concrete pads had been poured. Korbin had agreed to allow Derek to set up a computer work area, dedicated to surveillance, research and operations, with three 72u stacks with multiple redundancy and three connections to the internet. “It’s a window to the outside world before we set foot in it. All I need now are a couple of high-powered drones.”

====PBTD 06/3====
There were small yellow flags sticking up from the sand along the corridor. Those would help them identify the traps and weapons, but they blended in enough for a demon on the hunt to not notice them. Deep traps had been dug and lined with cement in various areas near the fence. A board was then placed over the trap and covered with sand. Anything over ten pounds would fall right down into it, trapping the beast inside. They had made them large enough to accommodate several regular-sized demons or one very large one.
Closer to the buildings were pop-up machine guns, barely visible to the human eye. The team could run out to the guns and lie in the shallow trenches behind them to aim the guns at their targets. Of course, these were all secondary protections. The entire point of the base was that demons wouldn’t get that far to begin with.
But staring at those little yellow flags caused discomfort in the pit of his stomach. He couldn’t get past them. They were like doomsday flags waving in the wind…right in his front yard.

====PBTD 06/4====
Have warning signs on road approaching base. first sign: “Deviating from the path could get you killed. Explosion probable, blowing you into fifty-seven pieces or worse.”
Second sign :   “It could be fifty-eight. That would be worse.”

====PBTD 06/17====
Calvin visits Joshua in his new facility, very large, compared with the old one.  "I have to say, you decorated this thing like a fucking pro. It’s like the Bruce Wayne man cave.” “A lot of this stuff is my family’s. I never had a place big enough to put it, so I kept it in storage. I have one of those brains that can remember details after seeing them just once, so I laid this out just like my father’s den was arranged when I was a kid. I actually have friends and a life for the first time. Tonight we are going into town to gamble and eat at a cheap buffet until we explode.”

WOTD 06/3  In Book 5 of War of the Damned, the Base suffers a lot of damage, when it is attacked by Baal and Moloch and all of their demons. The General and Katie decide to move the base to Groom Lake, in Area 51, in Nevada. Several of the locations around it have been closed to the public since ‘95 so they couldn’t get shots of the installation. Groom Lake and the area around it is a salt flat, but there is an airfield in the area already, which was decommissioned from Area 51 and sold off. Nothing has changed much, and there’s a lot of defense still in place. We’re to build it up. They will bring up more defenses and consultants to learn from the last attack and make sure that if another one happens, we’re ready. We also chose this area because it’s far from civilians. Area 51 has their own protection, and the general has written down where we’ll be, so he knows exactly how close we are to them.” . We’re going to make a place for the armory. It isn’t set up for that right now, but neither was this place. The consultants are here to help me (Korbin) and help you (Joshua)until that happens. The armory is obviously very important to us and the world, so it’ll be the first priority after defense.” '''“This is supposed to be temporary, a place to go that isn’t here, and the demons aren’t aware of.''' 

WOTD 07/5 The new Base. They had upped the perimeter safety precautions, although they were invisible to the naked eye, buried as they were beneath the dirt. The landscape no longer looked like an old military ghost town, but a vibrant and budding military playground. 
The main armory building had been redone and fortified so that Joshua could get back to work on ammo and other devices. They had used so many of them between going down to hell and the incursions on land that one huge breakout could leave them almost completely undefended. That was the first and most important project completed. Timothy was tasked with making sure the computer system for the new construction was done to his standards.  Korbin and his team had given them a detailed plan; every aspect of the compound was to be built to their exact specifications.
