We need empathy on the team (usually proovided by a female member), and we are lucky enough to have an anchor(Katie) who can bring the pain to the enemy at the same time.

Damian's Evaluation of Katie : It was like a hospital room, only alongside the heart monitor and IV drip lines were a bible, a cross, a vial labeled Holy Water, and a ton of leather straps. Tied down on table for own safety (in case demon started responding) At first Damian just did routine tests: listened to her heart and her breathing, and checked her pulse. He pulled up Katie’s shirt to reveal her midriff and pressed his ear against her belly. He listened for quite some time. After he was finished with her stomach, he looked Katie in the face and squinted his eyes as he pulled off his gloves. He held his hands just inches from her body and closed his eyes, moving his arms up and down, over and over, as if he were searching for some magnetic pulse. He started to chant in Latin, but Katie didn’t understand what the hell he was saying. Finally the priest’s hands stopped, and he dropped them to his sides. “Strange.” He sighed. “I know she is Damned—we can see it in her eyes—but the demon is hiding. I can sense its presence just slightly, but there is no movement. It’s not fighting back. I’ve never see one do this before.”“So it is weak. We can exorcise the weak.” “I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” the priest said. “It might be weak, or the complete opposite—so powerful that it can hide from me,” “You are Damned,” Korbin said. “Welcome to the club.”

Korbin's Evaluation of Katie: She’s got a fire behind those eyes I haven’t seen in a female before. Unless that fire is coming from the demon, she might just kick some major ass with this team. Home Base: Outside Las Vegas, Nevada

Five floors.The setting changed the higher they climbed. It stopped looking so much like a hospital and more like a dorm of sorts, only a bit darker than the ones she was used to.

The Training Room: We’ll make sure you get a key when you’re ready.You mean, when you’ve decided I’m not going to go crazy and murder everyone,”After the doors slid open, Katie stared out at the open combat training area in awe. The walls and floors were cement, and there were stations in the center of a circle. In the outer portion, several men were practicing combat moves. This is the pit. This is where we train, learn, and let out all our aggression. We have found that when the demon enters the human body, the body gets highjacked by the demon’s powers. That is what enables us to fight them and win—usually. It’s war.It’s not a movie or a video game. Real people die all over the world every day.And there are a lot more groups like this.Calvin asks her some questions, and just know there are no right or wrong answers here.”

The Training: Any martial arts, combat training, or even any self-defense courses?”Competitive volley ball ! Not a wimp.

The Weapons Room: Lower level, contains all kinds of any variety of weapons, knives, swords, other sharp things, guns and other things that shhot (crossbows, bows and arrows, things that pound (mallets). (See Weapons- Korbin's Killer's Weapons Room. )

Vehicles: Drive around in SUVs, vans (no windows) (See Category, Vehicles). Fly around in a G5, a transport plane that has engines worthy of fighter, and interiors worthy of the best living rooms.

Finances:“This has to be quite a financial undertaking.”“Yeah,” Korbin agreed, grabbing some bags as well. “We don’t lack money. We are secretly financed not just nationally but internationally, by every country in the world and some of the largest investors out there.”

WOTD 01/25 Katie and Calvin decide to not rebuild the team. Too many in military, and tell Damian this in an evening of popcorn and soaps. “So, what’s your plan?” Damian asked. “You gonna rebuild this team?”“I thought about it.” Katie sighed. “But with everyone joining the military and the rules changing, I think it’s time we changed with it. I decided that Calvin and I are going to be roaming troubleshooters. We’ll be harder to pin down that way.” “I’ll keep Timothy here, basing the IT out of this place and we’ll get him some more work to keep him busy. And of course, Joshua will be here running the business, making weapons and such. He has taught the girls how to take orders and fill them. Joshua learned how to balance the books from Stephanie, and everything else can be done remotely. “We will be back from time to time,” Katie continued. “But we won’t tell anyone when. We will come and go as we please.”
