Chapter 01

Katie has decided to bring Korbin and Stephanie Lee back into “the business”, in order to protect them, now that Hell has ramped up their efforts. She has brought them back to the Base, shown them the boxes of notes she had on their lives there, and wanted to integrate them into the “family” that had been created when they were there before. She is going to ask Gabriel if there is a way to restore the memories that had been lost when she had removed their demons.

MOLOCH ASND BAAL PLAN

Chapter 02

While Katie was out on errands, two men came to her building, trying to force their way in to her apartment. The doorman and Concierge would not allow them to enter. Katie came back from her errands, heard the squabble, and took care of it herself, flapping her wings, showing her guns, and generally taking down the two men, who had escaped onto the street. All of the hotel crew promised that the tapes of the encounter would never leave their building. Moloch and Baal are gossiping about Lilith and Lucifer, how Lucifer would love to have her back and take a strip off of her hide for her antics topside. They console each other about their failure on earth, the realize it was T’Chezz’ failure, not theirs. If they could capture and control the special weapons, all would be theirs! And Lilith would be FORCED to return to Hell!

MORE PLANS

Chapter 03

General Brushwood calls Katie, asks for a meeting. He’ll bring the helicopter, she’ll bring the food. Pandora wants it to be with soldiers, so she can feast with her eyes. And sh won’t tell where, just that it will be a lot of fun. Calvin calls, checking in. He and Sofia are thinking of moving to NY. But not right away. Katie, Angie and Pandora will watch Batman, Angie updating Katie on Timothy’s system. Cops with guns at the portals 90% of the time. Saved people at the other one. Movie stats, and Pandora wants to play superhero, with wings. Angie laughed, thinking of Katie with a cape. Moloch meets in Las Vegas with two followers, and tasks them with uncovering the manufacturing source of Katie’s weapons, and who is in charge of the operation. The two men were from DSS, Domestic Security Services. Mercenaries.

Chapter 04

Pandora was hooked on the Batman series. Had been watching it for two days solid. They have a sexy conversation, and Katie needs coffee and breakfast, noticing that Pandora hadn’t asked for a donut in two days!. Angie told Katie about her Fan club waiting downstairs, and Katie wondered how she would leave with them all there when she went to her meeting. Pandora wants her to wear a cape for the effect. NO ! As they crowd was still downstairs, Katie went to the roof, taking off and soaring to an open roof-top café where she could land and use their elevator to get to the street, and the parking lot in which the General’s car would be waiting. People stared. She saw the General’s car, and it WASN’T at he blacked-out SUV sitting there. She got into a beat-up send, and THEN they went to the blacked-out SUV. They talked about the fight in England, and that the problem was indeed worldwide . They drove to an airfield, where they got into a military helicopter, put on their earphones, and started their REAL conversation!

THE MONSTER AWAKENS

Chapter 05

Angie and Timothy meet (teleconference) with several high-ranking men, who agreed that the pay-off in saved lives, using Timothy’s new system, was worth its cost. The group was a little worried when they heard that Pandora had been watching Batman, and hurried off. Just dealing with a potential Oops before it became real. Katie meets with the General, and introduces him to her surprise. She gives him a free ride, no plane, with her and her wings. They both enjoy it. As Katie and the General were enjoying their flight, a monster awoke from the seabed floor, arose, and made its way to land.

PANDORA PRACTICES

Chapter 06

They talk about her, and how everyone wants her for something, be it science or publicity or protection. Most of them would want to control her in some way, and if they can’t to be close to her, and not stuck back in the crowds. The General thinks they are all being bugged by someone, all of the time. If Katie wants peace, she has to realize just who and what she is, and only one person can help her with that, despite Pandora’s dislike of him. Katie and the General land. Katie respects him, and will always have his back. And she was going to start forcing herself to be the person she knew she really was. She was done acting like she was the same as everyone else, so she let Pandora take over her body, and practice folding and unfolding the wings, then trying flying, landing in a puddle, getting up, and going up again. Even donuts didn’t tempt her to quit.

PANDORA'S MEMORIES

Chapter 07

Moloch’s two mercs had found some coordinates for the weapons source, but they were on a cell phone, and Moloch didn’t use cell phones or even know what GPS coordinates were, so he took them with him back into Hell and asked them to show on their phone where they then ! Katie and Pandora go Italian to revive Pandora, and Schultz and Travers walk in on them eating. The detectives tell Katie that since Timothy’s system was working so well, the calls had diminished considerably, and they had more time with their families. The demons are keeping their heads down. Like churchmice. Pandora snorted. Moloch was just getting started! The Detectives mentioned that Katie had said that Pandora liked Batman, and Katie let Pandora speak for herself. Pandora makes the point that demons play both sides of the fence to get what they want. She tells of her dealings with Schindler, during WWII, and how he helped the Jewish people by hiring them He helped the Germans to save the Jews. He was, in Pandora’s opinion, her idea of a superhero. Pandora didn’t know how to handle the superhero badge they had created for her, so she sent Katie back out to speak for her. Pandora was shocked into silence by only one thing -people being nice to her.

Chapter 08

Katie and Pandora give Adam, the truck-driver a big thrill on their way home, when they launch off of the front of his truck. Turned him into a believer! Katie and Pandora stop to talk to a family, a single Mom, with two kids, Nila, a girl, and her brother, who was playing at being a big-assed dumb teenager. Katie showed him a few things in the city, then took Nila for a short ride.

THE BATTLE AT THE BASE BEGINS

Chapter 09

Timothy was happy. His system worked well, had saved hundreds of lives, and it was a win-win, except for the demons. Suddenly, the alarms went off – they had a code red AND A HALF! He called Calvin. There has a huge portal opening just half a mile from them. Calvin called Brushwood, who would have Nellis there immediately, and Katie. They didn’t know if this was a decoy move to get her out of NY or not, so told her to sit tight until they knew more. Katie told Angie to get her plane ready- all the weapons and ammo it could carry, then flew off to the airport – faster than a cab! At the airport, her plane was being loaded. The airport had agreed to store her stuff there, so she could load out in a hurry if she had to. This was it. The plane was almost ready to go when she got there. Moloch and Baal watched as the hundreds of demons fell out of the portal, and headed for the nearby building. They were to surround it, and attack it. Once Baal and Moloch knew what the defenses were, they would up the ante with better, more intelligent demons.

Chapter 10

The demons had set an alarm off when they had breached the fence. The underground cannons started firing at the demons, as did the security guards, the first line of defense for the base. Joshua and the crew took up weapons as well, ready. Baal and Moloch are impressed at the base’s defenses so far. Baal laughed. “I would have to say their defenses are excellent. Got pop-up guns ready and loaded. They have Pop-up guns ready, pits full of sharpened stakes, mines exploding right and left. , which I haven’t seen used on a demon before, but look! That pit full of sharpened stakes keeps catching the little idiots. And they’re setting mines off right and left.” Joshua sent the women who were not going to fight to the underground bunkers, locking it after them. Then Joshua slammed his hand on an emergency button on his desk and then listened. Gears in the building began to turn, and there was the sound of metal sliding as steel blast guards began to cover the production building. They would make sure that the building was secure during any kind of fight. As the most valuable person on the base, he was not allowed to fight. Korbin and Stephanie load up with their weapons, prepared for they knew not what, and it felt comfortable. As soon as the women get underground Timothy will lock everything up, and they will all fight until the military get there. Timothy will run communications (earpieces). The guards reported that the first wave was over, but who knew what was coming. Korbin analyzes the situation perfectly – attacking, testing, analyzing. Timothy can control everything from his room, but he also set up an emergency control room at the guard station, and one in the armory. Those two rooms are a lot simpler; they just have basic controls. From his room he can adjust height, power, and even reload anything that needs it without having to actually go down there and do it.” And the military came, As if in response to a comment, the whole bunker shook, and dust rained from the ceiling. Calvin squinted against the dust and grinned at the others. “The planes are dropping bombs on the incursion area. That’s good news because it means the military’s close.” The bombs they were dropping were throwing debris back into the portal, disturbing Moloch and Baal at their watch table, so they moved back a little. The guards in the slits in the production building started firing as demons got closer to the building, eventually actually knocking them from the slit windows when they got close enough. They cannot let even ON E demon into the building!

Chapter 11

Timothy reports to Katie. Portal huge, stretching hundreds of feet beyond the landing pad. Small problems, waves of demons coming, some circuits fried because of heat in the field, everything still under control. Katie needs the plane to slow down enough on the landing strip for her to jump out, but the pilot doesn’t know if he can do that. Calvin exited the building, finding three demons not ten feet from him, shooting them easily. Stephanie, Korbin, and five more guards came with them. They spread out and prepared themselves for the next round of battle. The trickle of demons became a monstrous flood as they began pouring through the portal again. They scrambled over one another and rushed to the killing field. Calvin, Korbin, and Stephanie were there to meet them. The other guards stayed behind to cover them and man the traps. But there were too many demons for eight people to handle, no matter how good. A huge rush of demons pushed the mercs back and made an opening, then scrambled past the guards to the production building. Calvin doubled back, spraying the demons with bullets as he ran to the base of the building. Stephanie was a sharpshooting sniper, and did tremendous damage, but all they could do, without a demon by their side, was try to hold their own until Katie got there. Stephanie was wounded, and went inside to staunch her wound. One of the guards was killed, so there were only six of then out there, now, and a huge demo was coming out of the portal. Korbin and the rest of the team looked at the portal. It was as big as a house. His horned feet touched the ground, and the earth shook. Korbin growled, “Fuck me.”

Chapter 12

The demon was so big that he was eye-level with the top of the production building. Baal and Moloch are laughing as the military planes try to shoot it down, and it was as if a mosquito was stinging it. The demon raised his hands, and huge boulders of molten lava began to hit the approaching planes. Calvin took a look and said, “We’ve got to stop it!” Korbin took a look and wondered, How?

Katie’s jet touched down on the landing strip, and when it took off, Baal and Moloch saw her strolling towards the base, unfurling her wings. She took off, and began flying laps around the base. Katie pumped her wings hard and flew up high, then hovered over the battlefield. Katie took a deep breath, and her body emitted a blinding stream of light. She tipped forward and folded her wings back, diving as fast as she could toward the battlefield, and right at the gigantic demon who was lumbering toward the production building. She pulled out her angelic sword and held it high over her head as she slammed into the demon. She drove her angelic sword into the back of his head and through his skull. Katie levered her angelic sword back and forth and the demon began to waver. The demon’s eyes rolled back in its head, and it fell. Katie held on tightly and pulled the sword from the beast’s skull and rode it all the way down, and the earth shook as it landed. The demon burst into a cloud of ash that hid Katie from sight. From a distance, the guards saw Katie walking through the dissipating ash, fully armored and holding her sword tightly. Two cooling mounds of lava were all that remained of the big one. She and Pandora go after the next wave. Calvin and the others watched the wave of energy she brought with her in amazement. It blew back at least half of the demons and sent them rolling across the desert. “Looks like we have a superhero on our hands!

Chapter 13

Katie finds that there are, indeed, too many demons for even her to handle, with only Calvin as back-up, so she decides to go for the source, into the portal to take on Moloch and Baal. But Moloch and Baal stopped her, by sending three demons, all at one time, as large as the first one had been. And then she leaped. Not at the three new big ones, but at the portal itself. At Moloch and Baal. Her eyes glowed bright blue from the angel inside her, and the wave of energy hit Moloch hard. He stumbled backward. Baal’s eyes opened wide, and he scurried back. “Come on, let’s get out of here.” The demons tried to shut the portal, so that she couldn’t get through, but it wouldn’t shut. Moloch narrowed his eyes. “Lilith is keeping the gate open while Katie is using her angelic powers to fight. Those bitches have figured out the duality of their powers.” That had never been done before. “It seems that we are seeing something completely different this time,” Moloch shouted. Moloch and Baal continued to step back as Katie moved closer to the gate. Baal shook his head and looked at Moloch. “What is that bitch thinking? What’s she going to do, invade hell?” They decided she was definitely a force to be reckoned with.

THE OTHER BATTLE

On the other side of the world, the Leviathan came from the sea, attacked a resort town, shattering and destroying it in fifteen minutes, then went back to the ocean and disappeared. No one had ever seen anything like it, or knew why it had arrived and wreaked its havoc. The world was shocked. (See Creatures, Leviathan)

KATIE GOES INSIDE

Chapter 14

Two of the giants were still standing. Katie felt stronger, more capable than ever, and rushed at one, and jumped at it, catching it at its waist. It couldn’t see her over its big belly. She climbed to its shoulder, saw the other big one coming, jumped on it and grabbed it around the neck, using her momentum to twist its head so that its neck broke. Three down, one to go. She stated walking toward the third one and it made a break for it, towards the portal. And Katie ran after them, straight for the portal, ready to go into hell to get two demons who would fight with her. Brushwood hears an almost on the-scene report, the last being seeing Katie rush into the portal, and a call comes in from Europe, about the Leviathan attack in the Mediterranean.

Brushwood asked if they knew where it had gone. No, disappeared into the sea. Tracked a short distance but subs, but – gone. The General would get right on it. If we are capable of detecting portals before they even appear, we should be able to figure out where this monster disappeared to. I don’t know what kind of intelligence it has, but from the looks of it, and from the amount of time it spent in the town, it had a specific task.”

Chapter 15

Knowing that insane ventures should be undertaken quickly, Katie leaped through the portal. She landed on one knee on hot rock and sat there for a second, feeling the incredible energy raging around her. It pulled at her and pushed at her. She could feel it almost as if her body were absorbing those energies into her bloodstream. She pushed herself to her feet. The angelic sword appeared in her hand again, and she sheathed it at her waist. The energy was so strong she could see it swirling through the portal. The area was dark, only small rays of light in the background leading into the large pits of hell. The heat was exhausting and threatened to melt the clothes right off her body. Pandora concentrated part of her energy on keeping Katie’s body safe while scanning the area for the demons she wanted to recruit. Pandora took control of Katie’s arm and pointed her finger straight at two demons. There they are! Those are the two idiots I was talking about. They were reassuring each other that Katie wouldn’t be able to get down into Hell. Then one of them shrieked. Running as fast as she could through the gates of hell was Katie, adorned in her angel armor and carrying her bright white sword. Before they could move, Katie was on them. She grabbed them both by the neck and lifted them into the air. “You two are coming with me.” She started killing demons as she went back to the portal, until Pandora warned her that they had to get out. And she was running against the returning traffic, carrying two bodies, so she sprouted her wings and flew out. Katie took the demons into her base, threatening them with Lilith if they didn’t behave.

Report to Brushwood: The base is pretty roughed up, but the underground facility and the weapons factory are still intact. We are definitely going to need some more men out here, and a cleanup crew would be helpful too. We want to get this place back up to standard fast. They know where we are now, and they know our defenses. We’re going to have to change things up.” Brushwood calls the Navy Liaison.

DURI AND VOL

Chapter 16

Katie offers Stephanie and Korbin the two demons they had stolen from Hell. They were a working pair, one strong, one sneaky, and used to working together. They had the right sexual orientation, one, Duri, female, the other, Vol, a strong male. Korbin and Stephanie would let them know shortly if they wanted to be reinfected.

THE LEVIATHAN

Brushwood clues the Navy into the Leviathan problem, and they find that tracking and killing it would not be a simple matter. They don’t want to upset the beast before they know more about it, so are trying to move easily and quietly. They’re just trying to get it back on the radar at this point. They spoke of nuclear possibilities, torpedoes, and Brushwood suggested,” “We could create some sort of special Army packages in them; fashion ball bearings from the special metal that would explode inside the beast’s body, poisoning him. That would allow you enough time to use normal torpedoes to rip him apart.” Pandora sighed. “Obviously you’re aware that Katie has an angel sword. So, to do this correctly, we would have to fly onto Tiamat’s body while others kept her busy. We would cut the bitch with that angelic sword, then shove the bomb into her. I know you’re thinking this sounds like a real shit-show. I agree, and I’m not even done yet. After that, we would leave before the bomb explodes. I can promise you, I will be sorely pissed off if we’re still on the damn thing when it blows. Riding a tidal wave of flesh and bones is not my idea of a good time anymore.”

Chapter 17

On the submarine, there was a beep from the sonar. The beeping of the sonar from the intel room echoed inside the submarine’s cabin as it slowly crept through the water. They had been tracking this beast for hundreds of miles and had yet to get a solid signal. The alarm went off, and a crew member reported, An alarm went off, “Captain, I think we found the dragon, or whatever it is! The sonar shows it swimming very deep about a hundred meters ahead of us.” Call the General, and ready the torpedoes. They have a lock, and will fire when close enough. They did, and it roared, and seemed to be slowing down. Then, FC2 Smith shook his head. “I don’t think we got it, sir. It has changed course, and it’s heading straight for us.” The submarine fired at the beast, but it only sent the monster off track for a moment. Silt and dirt clouded the water. They reversed engines and began to slow down, just in case there was the chance of an impact. The captain was at a loss for what to do. Smith dropped his hands to his sides and shook with fear. “Three hundred feet and closing sir. It has shifted and is heading for our starboard side. Given the size of it, I don’t see how we will make it out of this.” The last thing Smith saw was a dark-green hooked claw that pierced his stomach and pinned him to the deck. He held onto the claw and the claw held onto him as the Leviathan pulled the submarine and her crew into the depths of the ocean.

RE-INFECTED

Stephanie Lee and Korbin had agreed to be re-infected, and the demons objected. “Just because they want it doesn’t mean we do. You can’t just tell us to jump into a human. How could you even make us do that?” Pandora took Katie’s body over and glared at the demons, who flinched and held onto each other. They didn’t want to give in to the humans, but at the same time they didn’t want to feel Lilith’s wrath. If it was a choice between dealing with Lilith or infecting Korbin and Stephanie, maybe getting a new meat suit was their best shot. “Cut the shit, fuckwads.” Pandora pointed her finger at the two of them. “I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking of jumping into the wrong person, aren’t you? Let me just set this straight right now. If you try to go into the wrong person, I can promise you that the pain I’m about to cause you will feel like a massage. You will beg me for pain like what you’re about to feel if you try to screw with me, or either one of them.” A piercing scream rang out from inside of the room. They could hear Pandora cackling wildly. The other demon joined in, howling in pain. After a few moments of silence, they were inside the humans, who had passed out in the process, as usual. Everyone is anxious to find out if the new demons would be better than their old demons had been.

GABRIEL

Chapter 18

Katie’s Angel Armor had automatically disappeared again. Katie wanted to talk to Gabriel again, so went outside, looked up, and asked him to come down to talk with her for a moment. When he did not immediately appear, Pandora started putting Angels down, as she usually did. Then he spoke, agreeing that when Katie called it would be important. “Gabriel, thanks for coming. I hope I didn’t interrupt you, but something serious is going on. A Leviathan, Tiamat, has surfaced. Not only did it destroy a town, but it’s somewhere out in the ocean wreaking havoc on anyone who tries to take it down. Pandora told me I’m pretty much the only one who can deal with it.” “I’m aware of the Leviathan. It’s a nasty business. I was wondering when they were going to call on you for help. The humans don’t really stand a chance against this beast. We were already discussing whether we would have to send out a team of angels. I told them to hold off. I figured you were going to call me eventually.” “I don’t know that a sword, some armor, and a pair of wings will hurt this thing. It’s so big that if I make a wrong move, it just steps on me. I’m toe-jam.” Katie really didn’t know what to ask for. His answer, “You can bring back that which is gone, under the right circumstances.”

Baal and Moloch discover that it wasn’t really Pandora messing with the portal gate, and if it wasn’t her, who was it?

Katie came into Stephanie’s room, found her awake, and asked her if she wanted to participate in a test. Stephanie agreed, and she and Katie sat down, Katie placing her hands on Stephanie’s forehead. Stephanie “fell into her eyes”.

Chapter 19

Katie knows that Gabriel’s riddle has something to do with giving Korbin and Stephanie Lee back their memories, and so she tries. The first attempt failed, then she began talking about her own strong memories of them, and it all worked. Stephanie had all of her memories back. They set up the same treatment for Korbin. Brushwood calls Katie, tells her of the lost sub, asks if they have any other ideas on how to take her down. Pandora suggests talking to her, to get her to go to a more advantageous place for them. The General will think about it. Katie and Pandora will be there when they do. Pandora’s comment was, “It’s Tiamat. There is no best way to handle that bitch.”

Moloch and Baal are overjoyed that their task of getting Tiamat to destroy the town and the submarine had been successful, and happily fist-bumped each other, a human custom they greatly appreciated. Because Katie is so successful at protecting the weapons, they have given up on that idea, and will try to get Tiamat to come to New York for them.

TIAMAT AGAIN

Chapter 20

Brushwood calls Katie at the base, and all listen in, including Korbin and Stephanie Lee. The base and weapons building will be moved. Katie will go ahead to New York, to get everything ready for the team during the move. Calvin will stay there with Korbin, bringing him up to speed, and making sure things are handled correctly. The video-casts of Tiamat attacking another village/town in Spain hit the news, and many people thought it was n animated movie. This couldn’t be real. Then, their afternoon classes were cancelled because of it, and they knew terror had come to town.

Chapter 21

Katie and Pandora were happy to be back in the luxury of their condo. There was, again, a crowd in front of their condo, carrying signs. Some were positive, others wanted to see her back in the gateway to hell. Katie went up the back way, finding Angie making notes on Timothy’s project. “How’s everything going? Is it still effective?” “Oh yeah, very effective. Though I have to say, with the exception of the incursion on your base, it’s been kind of quiet. We were starting to think it wasn’t working, but we realized there has just been a serious decline in gate openings around New York right now. We’re not worried though. It’s sure to pick up. Regardless of how few and far between they become, this system is important.” Angie wondered if they would have a place in taking down Tiamat. Brushwood asks Pandora more about Tiamat, and Pandora agrees to give him information, at a price. A favor asked, some day. He agrees. Katie and Pandora need to relax, so they suit up, and go out to “take some motherfuckers down.”

DOWNTIME

Chapter 22

They saved about a dozen people. An older man being robbed, and a young girl fighting off three who were going to use her. Pandora wanted to kill them, but Katie reminded her that Batman never killed anyone, but released them to the police for punishment. Pandora did that for the first group, but beat up and threatened the second group. They played some more, then went home. .

PANDORA'S PART

Chapter 23

Brushwood calls Katie. They have found Tiamat, heading for New York. Pandora knows it’s Moloch and Baal causing all of this. The General played a tape of what he thought they should say to Tiamat, and Pandora broke out laughing. Pandora screeched out one sentence that neither the general nor Katie fully understood, then another. She made some very strange sounds come out of Katie’s throat. Her words were a jumbled mess, a combination of English and demon. Katie told Pandora that she sounded like a dying seal. So Pandora re-records what she had said. Pandora smirked. “Perfect. Press Record. Tiamat esaeu xik ozz fucking lizard. Kaq esaeun fucking scaled ozz aewabbi sabbia oth moya ya juaar aem ya Damned. Gaer'q zota za fucking ztir esaeu ohiwa.” Then throw the speakers into the water and see if she takes the bait. Pandora is sure that the military will be unable to do the job, that they will be asking for their assistance. And Pandora told Katie the truth. Pandora let out a deep sigh, realizing that she had to tell Katie the truth. It was a heavenly host of angels that put her down the last time. You want to galaxy-size a can of whoop-ass, get a bunch of angry angels and let them really cut loose. The only reason she isn’t dead is they didn’t want to kill her. Bleeding heart liberals, every one of them. If I had been there, I would’ve cut her head off and sent her straight to hell. For some reason, angels have no problem killing each other—or killing humans, for that matter—but you put a giant lizard in front of them, they get all weepy-eyed. You would’ve thought that the angels created PETA.

Chapter 24

Tiamat was approaching the coast, and heard Lilith’s taunts. At first she ignored them, then, changed her course, to the small island. The sonar following her agreed that she was BIG. Planes and ships fired at her, wounding her, trying to take her down. The General shows up at Katie’s door, with a tape of the assault on the Leviathan. It had not gone as well as it should have. The tape showed Tiamat bloody and beaten, but making her way back into the water. Not a soul on the island made a movement. The only sound was the hum of the camera plane. Even the Leviathan was quiet, barely pulling her body down the sandy beach and into the surf. Blood streaked the sand behind her, but she kept moving. The Leviathan pushed into the safety of the waves. The last piece of the beast the camera saw was a torn and tattered tail, with some broken scales hanging off it as it slipped beneath the surface. Pandira guessed it would take her at most two months to heal, maybe less if she got more food. And she swims too deep for the subs to follow her, although the pressure doesn’t seem to bother her one bit. They do not know where she will surface again. Katie decides that she and Pandora will just have to do it themselves, kill the Leviathan. Pandora’s thought were,” We are so going to die. And we never even decided on a good costume.”

Chapter 25

Ships cruised over the Atlantic Ocean, blasting out Pandora’s message to Tiamat. Finally, the ocean floor stirred, and all of the fish swam rapidly away. They knew danger when they saw it.

Katie and Pandora went towards the island that had been prepared for the event. Ships were standing off, far enough away so that they wouldn’t get dragged down and drowned and eaten. Kate was still worried. She didn’t want humans around, who she would be responsible for while she was fighting the demon. As Katie landed on the island, she was told that Tiamat was eighty miles out, and coming on strong. Upon advancing onto the island, Tiamat searched for Pandora, and, when frustrated at not finding her, was about to go back into the sea, to complete her promised task. Then Katie showed up, flashed her Angel wings, and Taimat was suckered in to staying. It was the Angels who had defeated her last time, and she wanted revenge this time. As Katie called for her sword and armor, it appeared. She slashed at Tiamat, and a giant portal opened to Hell.

KATIE GOES INSIDE AGAIN

Katie jumped into it, and Tiamat was going too fast to stop, so she fell in, too. The portal snapped shut behind all of them, and the General couldn’t believe it. He knew Katie didn’t want to be in Hell with Tiamat, the demons, and all, and he didn’t know if he would ever see her again.

Chapter 26

Tiamat charged Katie, and Katie flew over her, cutting her back with the sword. Tiamat fell, rolling across the hardened lava. And now the demons there were coming for her, too! Katie slashed at a couple of them, taking off their heads. Pandora said that she couldn’t do everything, so Katie reached into her chest and pulled Pandora free. Pandora stood there in her demon form, free after so many years. Katie leveled her sword at the demons charging her but spoke to Pandora. “Now’s your time, Pandora. I’ve put all my faith in you. Save me, kill me, make me your angel bitch. It’s up to you. What’s it going to be?” Pandora slowly craned her demon head toward Katie, her eyes bright in their sockets. “No one should ever, ever trust a demon, Katie. Especially not an angel.” Katie gasped, ready for a fight. Instead, Pandora winked at her and kissed Katie’s cheek. She lazily threw an arm up toward the demon horde attacking them and released a massive amount of dark, freezing energy. The icy black magic stormed through the air, laying waste to any demon in her sight. Pandora whispered, “Don’t tell anyone, but you’re my sister in word as well as deed.” As Tiamat rushed for Katie, Pandora used all of her energy to create another portal, pulling Katie through, and shutting it in Tiamat’s face. She, a sea creature, was stuck in Hell! They were in the same alley they had been in when they had saved the girl. Pandora, weak from using all of her energy in Hell, crawled over to Katie’s body, and crawled inside. Katie was alone in the alley, breathing quietly, and then not at all. A cold wind moaned through the alley, and a drop of rain fell on her, and she awakened, her eyes snapping open, redder than they had been before.
