Suddenly, her body was wracked by a pulse that began in her chest and exploded outward around her. All if the glass around her disintegrated. Her angelic powers had just let loose a blast that killed the demons, and left the humans alive. It was like she had the same power that her special metal ammunition had, only it was inside of her body. Katie comes across two demons who had killed a family, and stopped to stomp them to death, being reminded by Pandora that she couldn’t take that much time with just two. Katie needed to shut the portal, before it was too late.

Katie asked her if she should try to make any, and Pandora was upset that she would try to be friends with the ones who had thrown her into Hell. Three of the other sites had total destruction – not a human left for miles around. New York was the distraction to keep Lilith busy. The demons hadn’t even bothered with the humans, as Moloch had told them that whoever died in the building would spend an extra century in Hell, so they all wanted to die outside the building. A huge, new type of beast has appeared out of the portal, one which sets fire to everything that gets near it. Cannot fight it, because cannot get near it! Katie allowed Pandora to take control, and heard her call out to the powers inside her, in Latin. Suddenly Katie was pulled back into her body, and a flash of light burst around her. Just the little bit of movement from body to soul caused Pandora to black out in pain. Katie opened her eyes and looked down, finding a long golden sword in her hand and armor on her body that looked like it belonged to a time period thousands of years before. At the same time, it could also have come from a thousand years in the future. She turned the sword over in her hands, and although it was solid and strong, it weighed nothing. MOLOCH AND BAAL

Chapter 01

Moloch and Baal meet to discuss their plans for Earth. Random demon spawning has increased 50% since Incursion Day, and the infected are starting to come out of the woodwork. The cities are crawling again, and we are getting numerous requests for larger, more powerful demons. The infected are getting a little wild with their ideas.” That’s good, as those with a little more human sense are much more valuable. “We need to up that number. Get those requests filled as fast as possible. We need the distraction as much for Lilith as the human armies. I want them to be too absorbed with the chaos among their people to pay attention as we continue to create a new plan of attack.”

Katie back in NY, still looking for more side jobs to hide more money. She went to Mason, to see if he had anything for her. Since her wings had been made known, there were fewer jobs. And she had decided to not take the shadier jobs, as she had a public presence to live up to. There is one. A transfer of goods (collectible art, museum pieces) from New York to Washington DC. . She would join the Security team, as the go-to guy if something goes wrong. Will be paid when goods in vault in DC. Katie accepted the job, read the file, and left.

A group of eight infected have kidnapped a man, in order for him to be demonized. The group chanted and a portal opened, from which a huge demon emerged, looked at the bound man, smiled, and dived into his chest. The leader, at that point, anesthetized the man (to control the demon) so that they could travel. They are taking the demon to another place, where it will emerge.

THE STOP

Chapter 02

Katie goes the Precinct, to teach the police how to handle demons. The incidents were so many now, that Katie couldn’t handle them all, so other had to be trained. Travers and Schultz met with her, explaining that what we’re coming up against out there mostly are the cults of infected demon worshippers. They’re summoning demons and infecting innocent people. None of the incidents appear to be connected.” Katie notified them she would be unavailable for a day, the talked about the valuables being transferred, and she left. It was thought to be a non-demonized happening

The Valuables van is about to be stopped and vandalized by the demon-infested being. The infested humans needed to steal artifacts involving demons from the collection. When they saw the van and SUVs approaching, hey gave the transport human a wake-up dose, and pushed him out of the car. When the demon awoke, he was so huge he totally exploded the human body, scattering it over the landscape. He was huge enough and heavy enough to leave indentations in the pavement when he walked. He saw a passing car, swiped at it, rolling it several times, ripped off the roof and snacked on the driver. The car caught fire. The SUV driver had to swerve to avoid the mess. Katie and Pandora get ready to take him on.

THE ROBBERY

Chapter 03

Pandora took over, Katie in the background, and was complaining about how stupid demons were. She started insulting the demon, and it became confused. Its brains did not match its brawn. Pandora needed to get the demon off of the highway, before too many other people died, so she headed for the woods, dragging the demon with her. She finished it off, and no one knew what to do when silence fell. The ones who had let the demon loose drove away, and Katie called Timothy, to set him on the tracks of who might have set this up. Katie called the General to let him know what was going on, and Brock called, setting up dates with her when he and his team got a in four days. Katie would send her jet over for him and his four men were available.

INFORMATION

Chapter 04

Timothy had found the videos of the incident, followed it up, and discovered that it was a family affair, and that Trevor Flannigan, deceased, was the one who had infected Katie, years ago. He told Katie, and she was dismayed at how the Flannigans had messed up her life. Then she changed into street clothes, and she and Pandora went to Astro Donuts and Fried Chicken for their snack. They bought, and left, planning to eat on the train back to NY.

On a newsstand in the station, Katie saw a magazine, one with picture articles, that featured “Special Issue: The Demons Inside Us”, showing Katie as sexy, orgasmic, etc. she and Pandora laughed over it all of the way home. Katie would not take it back to the base, as Calvin would tease her with it forever.

Chapter 05

Katie and Angie talk over breakfast the next morning. Katie assigned Angie to take care of setting up all pick-ups and accommodations for Brock and his team.

Calvin and Sofia at the Base in Nevada. Thy are watching soaps with Timothy, reminiscing about the past, and comparing attitudes towards demons then and now. People seem more scared of becoming gay than of becoming infected by demons. Timothy tries to make Katie’s sugared popcorn, and succeeds with black coloring.

Angie booked Brock and his team into condos in their same building, also hiring extra attendants and caterers for their flight in. they were going to have a GOOD time!

BROCK’S TEAM

Chapter 06

A limo Humvee met them as they exited from their Base, and the trip began. The Humvee (stocked bar) took them to a private hanger, where Katie’s jet sat, complete with gorgeous attendant to invite them on board. Another stocked bar, catered buffet, movies, bedroom, and attendants to “make their flight memorable.”

Katie thought they deserved the best, because when they were out there in a battle you never had time to really eat chow, even when the military cordoned off an area in the safe zone to serve it. Brock’s team were special forces, and they were the ones responsible for stopping the battle, especially if the mercs weren’t there. That meant they saw the most action, killed the most demons, and got the least sleep or food out of everyone. They were all smiling for the first time in a long while.

Alvin is awakened by Sofia, who needs to get back to san Diego, as her Mom and Dad are coming to visit her there, and she needs to keep up the façade of being a “good, old-Mexican type” of girl. Calvin wants to ask Stephanie and Korbin to be there to protect her (Drug lords might still want to kidnap her), which would mean telling them what had happened to them, and why. He checked it out with Katie, and she said OK, as long as HE did it. They would be angry with her, and she didn’t need that. He said OK, he would.

Calvin goes to Korbin and Stephanie’s farmhouse, where they had retired, looking down at its peaceful picture before he approaches it. He approached them and he asks them to help, something they had already thought of doing, as the demon-infested world go closer and closer to possibly threatening them. So they invited Calvin inside, and they talked.

Katie was back at the precinct, which was barely even focused on the normal crime. In fact, it had gone down quite a bit. The normal criminals were too afraid to run into demons to be out ruining lives. That’s the thing,” Travers explained when Katie made a face. “They all seem to be green. They stay at the scene or very close by and are caught almost immediately. We are shipping these infected out left and right. It’s a good thing we aren’t housing them, we would have to build ten new facilities just to keep up with this year’s catches. Like that all over- campuses, parks – everywhere. Not coincidental! Every day it seems to get worse. The guys are pulling twenty-four-hour shifts and still can’t keep up with it. They are leaving one arrest midway with rookies just to chase down another perp right in the middle of it all. One thing I learned really fast with this demon shit is that coincidences are rarely that.” And it’s like this all over the country. Maybe the high level ones are wearing us down, so we won’t be ready or able for the big one? They all knew there was something big coming, and that it was about to explode.

Brocks Group arrive in New York, receive a hero’s welcome at the airport, and Brock is proud that his GROUP ws being recognized, not just him. It was right.

Chapter 08

Calvin talks with Korbin and Stephanie, over three beers. They find it all strange and agree on the condition they can meet and talk to Katie. All OK, so they go back to the Base, check out hand-to-hand combat, collect weapons, and are off to San Diego. They still remember nothing of their time before. Now to worry about the parents!

Brock and Team are shown to their individual apartments, then all meet back at Brock’s. Happy as clams!

THE NIGHT OUT

Chapter 09

Katie, Brock and the team go for a night out – multiple clubs, drinks, dances, all of it, but they didn’t want to take anyone back to the condos. Tonight was for Lamb, their buddy who had been killed in France. Katie tell Pandora to let up on Brock, to let him have a good time- Katie left them all at the door. She’d be with them tomorrow night.

KATIE AND THE GROUP

Chapter 10

The next day, they create a minor traffic jam when the Group goes out for the day. The General calls Katie, complimenting her on it, and Katie is becoming exasperated with all of the intrusion and slowness . She has places to go and things to do! Katie and the Group go to a training gym, to meet with the cops, and to get to know what’s new in the demon’s department.

It was a gun range. She invited them to coffee and donuts. The range like a family watering hole for the cops and the local gun-lovers. They knew each other well. Katie thanked them for all of their input, and told them they would be allowed to test the newest things in the arsenal. She pointed to a couple of dummies of demons, their skin simulated to be just as thick as the real thing. Angie had stuck a couple of donuts over the eyes to lighten the mood.

“Our new bullets have been designed to not only penetrate the flesh of some of the largest demons we have come in contact with, but to continue to work their way through once the ammunition has gone through the first layer. We all know how tough a demon’s scales can be, and that has been one of the main concerns. We will produce these bullets in all sizes, so you will not have to switch out your weapons for new ones.”

Calvin and Sofia in San Diego, with Korbin and Stephanie, and Sofia’s parents. At dinner, Korbin sees two men casing Sofia, so he and Stephanie talk to them, finding that they are from the Mexican government, and are her to keep Sofia in the US, to not allow her to come back to Mexico. After hearing all sides, Sofia’s parents allow her to stay, with Calvin, with their blessings.

ACTION

Chapter 11

Katie, Brock, his team and a few cops get an emergency call that a portal is opening in Brooklyn, and it looks like a BIG piece of action. She and all suit up, all with the newest weapons, and go over to the area. Cops and SWAT from all over the city were converging on the area. Katie decides to take the building from the top, so goes to an adjacent building and flies in through a fifth story window, Immediately, a giant explosion racks the building, screams, and the Team goes in.

MORE ACTION

Chapter 12

Katie and Pandora have a big argument about the wings thing, a and flying. Katie wins, and they both go in, with Katie in charge. Suddenly, her body was wracked by a pulse that began in her chest and exploded outward around her. All if the glass around her disintegrated. Her angelic powers had just let loose a blast that killed the demons, and left the humans alive. It was like she had the same power that her special metal ammunition had, only it was inside of her body. Katie comes across two demons who had killed a family, and stopped to stomp them to death, being reminded by Pandora that she couldn’t take that much time with just two. Katie needed to shut the portal, before it was too late.

The Team, on the first floor, was picking off the few that were coming up from the basement, when the floor shook, and the screams of hundreds of demons came from the basement. The portal had opened, and they were coming! As the demons were just trying to get out, not coming for the team, there team could just shoot them as they went by.

The Team handled the horde as Katie worked her way down to them. They didn’t want to try for the portal without her.

MORE ACTION

Chapter 13

The demons keep coming from under them, but not for them, as if they were running from something, not attacking. Katie needs to get to the Gate, so with two of the Team in front, and three in back, they make a move downward, the Team shooting as Katie keeps moving. They come to the Gate, and Katie knocks down a part that seems to be keeping it open, seeing some of the Titans who live down there. She steps back onto Earth before the Gate closes. Pandora said the thought they hadn’t attacked her because they thought she had some Angel friends who would back her up. Katie asked her if she should try to make any, and Pandora was upset that she would try to be friends with the ones who had thrown her into Hell. Katie was torn between loyalty to Pandora, and the possible advantage of angel friends, as they were both parts of her. They all waited in the basement until the cops upstairs had finished their work, then all went up. After meeting with the cops, and signing off the responsibility, they went to a local donut shop, with a pizza place next door, and had some snacks. Katie felt good, having worked with a team again.

MOLOCH AND BAAL, AGAIN

Chapter 14

The demons were happy about what had gone on. They had hit thirteen separate places, and Lilith had been able to be at only one. Three of the other sites had total destruction – not a human left for miles around. New York was the distraction to keep Lilith busy. The demons hadn’t even bothered with the humans, as Moloch had told them that whoever died in the building would spend an extra century in Hell, so they all wanted to die outside the building. Lucifer has to stay out of it, as he needs deniability with the angels. If they think he’s involved they will strike him down immediately. “I can take the shit, it doesn’t bother me in the least. There is never victory without a few losses along the way. We just had to find our rhythm, figure out how to get around these asshole humans and their technological advances. Now there is no holding back, we are out for blood and entrails. When this all comes to a close, I am going to decorate my office like it’s fucking Christmas with human guts hanging like garlands.”

“Fancy.” Baal chuckled. “Don’t forget the balls for ornaments.”

Angie had the apartment clean and ready for her when she got back, plenty of donuts, coffee maker ready for the morning. The next day, Brock goes down to Katie’s, at her invitation, and she meets him with a coat on, with a lot of skin underneath it.

Chapter 15

When the Team left the next day, Brock asked if he would see Katie again, and she answered, I’m sure you will. Just remember who we are. There are no permanent relationships for people like us. We don’t know if we will be dead by tomorrow. What we had last night? That’s the best I can offer.” Pandora claimed that she had let him off at four times, because he was exhausted. Bu she’d do better next time.

Angie comes up with an idea for Timothy and her to investigate. He had done so well in pinpointing the location the other day, what if he were able to do it ahead of time, like an early warning system? The government could do this as well, so Timothy doesn’t want to upset the General, but it’s a lot of work for other countries. If Timothy would spec out was needed as far as hardware, Angie could sell it to the general, and they could save the world from an evil takeover.

THE VENTURE

Chapter 16

Angie talks to Katie, explaining what she and Timothy had explored. Katie thought it a good idea – start with New York only, get the General’s OK, and keep costs down. Angie got back to Timothy, and they can do it at $0 cost, as he already has what he needs. Angie called, the General said yes, and Timothy was to start with NY only. The General thought it was a good idea, and only hoped it would work!

Katie and Pandora go out to lunch. Chinese. Seven dishes later, Pandora is done, so they go for a walk in the Park. Angie send a message to the Police, sharing it with Katie, hoping she had done the right thing.

GABRIEL

Chapter 17

Although Pandora could put Katie’s body into a good place, it needed Katie to keep it there, so she needed to work out at a gym periodically. There was one close by she could use. Not having a team to practice with was hard to swallow. And the gym protects her privacy in the ways she needs. Calvin works out there, too. Gabriel came by to watch her work out, although she didn’t know it. It had been awhile, and he needed to step it up.

Calvin has to get back to work, and hates to leave Sofia in San Diego, but Korbin and Stephanie will protect her (they rented a condo nearby), so he feels better about leaving.

Katie talks to Harry, the gym owner, about working out with weapons. She needs more extensive activities. She wants to use her staff, and be able to work with more than one opponent at a time. Harry Oks it, and gives her two others to work with, who knew how to use staffs. She definitely needed to work on quick footwork, and reading their body movements ahead of time.

Gabriel talks privately to Pandora,(painful for her, given her demonic orientation!), tells her about the armor thing, and leaves it to her to tell Katie about it. Pandora has the choice to tell Lucifer about it, and end all f the struggles, with humans taking the worst, or to tell Katie, and give humans a chance. Pandora finds it ironic that the fate of humans is put into the hands of s demon, and she knows what she will do, because she has developed a conscience.

Chapter 18

Calvin lands in New York, on his way to Katie's, thinking about his future, and what that future might be kike, as it was relatively incompatible with his present. All h knew was that he couldn’t leave Sofia out of it.

Baal and Moloch visit site eleven, a totally devastated area, and to see the humans laid to waste was a special kind of high that floated through them. They knew they could lay waste to many area such as this, and were delighted by that. The found a YouTube upload that had been mad of the massacre, and posted it on-line, for humanity to see, and humanity did, some of them cheering on the demons, playing into Moloch and Baal’s games.

TIMOTHY’S PROJECT

Chapter 19

Timothy almost had it working correctly, having spent days of constant attention to the project. Joshua visits him, noticing the condition of his office. Thy talk about Stephanie and Korbin’s involvement with Sofia. Timothy misses Stephanie’s pedicures and massages, and the time they spent together. Timothy gets back to the project, promising Soap and Popcorn time later. He finally got it working, on a world-wide basis, and left it running on its own, going for some time with Joshua.

Moloch and Baal were visiting on of the devastated sites in China. They are so happy that their destruction is on the news, and that humans are watching it so closely, they think the news should be paying them for the material! Th next place to attack, they decide, is in Great Britain, the town of Towton, the site of probably the largest and bloodiest battle ever fought on English soil, and it will now be the site of the bloodiest massacre in the history of the world, videoed and shown live on the internet. What better way is there to sow fear into the hearts of millions?”

THE RESULTS

Chapter 20

Timothy awakens the next day, not having checked on his project, wondering about it. He dressed, made his morning coffee, and finally went down to his office, vowing to clean it up that day. He checked his results, and suddenly found an alarm in Great Britain, at Towton. He called Katie and notified her that she needed to get there, ASAP, as something BIG was happening. More later. Timothy calls the General, tells him of the alert, and Brushwood puts him on with Command, to check it out.

Timothy warns Joshua, and alerts him that ALL stock is to be taken to the field immediately for shipment.

TOWTON, ENGLAND

Chapter 21

Calvin and Katie pack up to pack out to England. The press is there, depressing her with their intrusions, and Pandora and Calvin spar to lighten her up. It works. They get to the airfield, load up, and take off. Kidding about Katie's wings, if needed, and the fact that the government had lowballed her on the fees for this incursion. But it wasn’t all about money. It was about using the tools and gifts she had been given to do something more meaningful than a game of volleyball or getting the right degree in college. Becoming a Damned hadn’t just changed her outward life, it had changed the woman she was at the core.

The portal was opening. The heat was atrocious, and was increasing as the portal became more active. The British were not prepared, but will do what they can to hold it down, until the Americans arrive. They did the best they could, aiming for the heads.

KATIE ARRIVES

Chapter 22

Katie and Calvin arrive at the airport, transfer to a helicopter, and fly out to the field under attack. Pandora has a gut feeling bout this incursion, that there’s something different about it, but she doesn’t know what. She did have Gabriel’s information, but wasn’t going to tell Katie unless it was last chance. Pandora didn’t trust angels - They were known for being tricksters; the mercenaries of the high courts. They weren’t known for pure unbridled truth, and took their jobs way more seriously than they actually were. Katie prepares to jump (fly) out of the helicopter. Calvin will take the safer way down.

The people of the town were in a panic. They tried to fight, they videoed the action, and the world saw them eaten as they were holding their phones. They were joking bout filming, and dying while doing it. It was the stupidity of the town that was leading to the carnage involved. Katie and Calvin had to focus on shutting down the gate, and killing the demons who were already there. They couldn’t help the people.

Katie flew down toward the Gate, and the demons all rushed toward her, to deter her efforts. Katie was identified by the people.

Chapter 23

Katie was out of bullets, and her swords had been knocked out of her reach. Things were looking bleak for her. Calvin is trying to get to her, but the demons are too dense for hm to handle. He, too, runs out of bullets, and has to use his swords.

PANDORA’S SACRIFICE

{{ch|24} Katie is using only knives, and thinks she might be at the end, when Pandora pulls a rush of energy, and tells Katie to relax. A huge, new type of beast has appeared out of the portal, one which sets fire to everything that gets near it. Cannot fight it, because cannot get near it! Katie allowed Pandora to take control, and heard her call out to the powers inside her, in Latin. Suddenly Katie was pulled back into her body, and a flash of light burst around her. Just the little bit of movement from body to soul caused Pandora to black out in pain. Katie opened her eyes and looked down, finding a long golden sword in her hand and armor on her body that looked like it belonged to a time period thousands of years before. At the same time, it could also have come from a thousand years in the future. She turned the sword over in her hands, and although it was solid and strong, it weighed nothing. Her armor had two chest plates, and on the back, a pair of golden wings. On her head was a golden crown, the delicate filigree gracing her forehead and entwined with her hair. She furrowed her brow, unsure what had happened, when the beast behind her let out a high-pitched scream of frustration and fear. It turned to retreat through the portal, but the rift slammed shut, sensing Katie’s angel. The rest of the demons were left to fend for themselves. She looked at the demons, who had stopped digging and were backing away from Katie. They knew what she was, and apparently, the fire demon knew as well.

Katie could only assume that the spell Pandora had performed was a simple push, and the armor and weapon she carried were sent from above. Katie felt an immediate sense of panic. She couldn’t contact Pandora, which had never happened before. She had always been in there, even if she was deep down inside hiding in the quiet of her soul. This time there was nothing; not a peep or a sound. Katie looked down at the shimmering sword, and suddenly realized that calling the armor and the weapon must have messed the demon up. What had she done? Had she sacrificed her life? Her health? And all to keep Katie from dying in that field amongst the fire demon and the horde. Katie fought, avenging Pandora, and as she fought energy was building up in her chest. Finally, the huge beast caught her, and threw her down, the other demons rushed to finish her off, and The Angelic Sonic Boom radiated outward, knocking all the demons around her into the air and sending them crashing into the others. She breathed heavily, unclenching her fists and opening one eye to peer down at herself. She half-expected to see her armor torn from the blow she took, but to her surprise, there wasn’t even a scratch or a speck of dirt on it. Katie fought with her sword, killing demons. She got to the fire demon, slammed into it, her armor not erven taking scratch, and cut it open. The demon put out heat, expecting her to burn, but it didn’t touch her. It was as if she were in a protective bubble. Katie finished off the battle, as Pandora collapsed, having used the last of her power. The military arrived, to help, but the battle was already over. The magic sword had made the difference.

Baal and Moloch watch the battle from Hell , and are happy with the outcome. Let them have one of many incursions every time we send out portals. It will make them think she is taking down crime, but in reality, we are using decoys and distractions while creating the perfect plan and collecting the souls left behind.”

“I believe you have just become a guru.” Baal laughed. “But that plan is perfect. Keep them guessing and chasing. Eventually, they will figure it out. They always do. Until then, we will run them in circles. One of the blows ahead will be the fatal one, leaving Earth ripe for the picking.”

Calvin and Katie talk while finishing up the battlefield, killing the last of the demons. And Pandora came back, making Calvin and Katie very happy.

ANGIE’S TURN

Chapter 25

Angie and Katie walk into the local precinct, as businesswomen. They have a new product to sell, and Angie is the go-to person for it, so she will be selling/promoting it, not Katie. So Angie takes over.

She has a new warning/alert system to sell, for $100k/month, that will alert forces in a shorter time than the government, or the price will go down to 10% of the original price. She and Timothy promise performance. And Katie supports them in this. Angie signs her first $1 million contract.

Calvin and Katie come back to Las Vegas, to Timothy and the base, and to Sofia, who would meet them at the airport.

It felt like home, much as the Condo did. Stephanie and Korbin were with them, as well.

Katie had not seen Korbin since he went away, and she rushed up and hugged them both. They bantered, and all felt easy with each other.

And Katie has to find out how to get her golden armor back. Only Pandora knows.
